Description
Dharma is the natural order that holds all of creation together, and anything that exists in time and space has one. For the sun, dharma is simply its presence. For the soul, it is bringing matter to life. A mango tree can only give mangoes. In this satsang, Mohanji explains that we suffer when we try to be something we're not, and that peace comes from living our own nature, our Swadharma.
He shows that understanding dharma leaves no room for enemies. Ram, Ravan and Hanuman each played their part, and Ravan's downfall came from ownership, not from his role. The only reality is "I am." Once we add "I am somebody," we are in maya. That is why masters move beyond their personality into pure presence and simply reflect the light, like the moon reflects the sun.
Mohanji then brings dharma into family life. Care for your parents as you would care for your children, because they carry your lineage. With Pitru Paksha starting on 26 September, he explains how honoring our ancestors cleans that inherited channel. In the Q&A he says that caring for nature and animals is the least humanity owes the planet. He also talks about staying kind whatever others do and not letting your weaknesses define you, and he describes parallel existences, with Yoga Vasishtha recommended for further reading.
