2026 - October 18: Weekly Talk on SHAKTI

2 h 21 min

Description

Speaking on the eighth day of Navaratri, Mohanji explains Shakti as the force that aligns a person to existence. The tangible Shaktis are will, knowledge and action. Without them, he says, people may know a great deal but lack the will to act on it, and life stays ineffective. Beneath these are the functional Shaktis: the five pranas that keep us alive without any effort on our part, quietly fuelling our karma. We are so occupied with mind and ego that we forget this energy, our real link to the Source, is already running the show. Kundalini isn’t something exotic, he says, only something we have over-exaggerated.

He cautions against chasing activation. Many people push to awaken Shakti or ask gurus to “activate” them, and then can’t handle the result. Activation and purification have to go together so that balance is kept, and powers that are misused become a karmic burden. Offering, too, is a form of purification. Whether to the deity or to our ancestors, what we are really doing is sharing and releasing rather than accumulating, and he suggests offering everything we consume.

In the Q&A he speaks on so-called possession by a goddess, which he says can be a latent projection or manipulation, while a true divine visitation always brings real transformation. He also covers how to tell manipulative energies from benevolent ones, why consistent connection to one point of focus leads to consciousness, and the difference between karmic and dharmic rebirth. On raising children, he says that if you want a guilt-free existence, you should live a cruelty-free life.
