Description

This week's session launches a new format — now called Making Masters — with 45 minutes of focused teaching from Mohanji on a set topic, an hour of Q&A on that topic, and 15 minutes for personal blessings. Today's theme is abundance. Mohanji begins with what we're made of: the gross (body and mind, with its three aspects — emotions, information, ego) and the metaphysical (the moving pranas and the unchanging soul), explaining that at death only unfulfilled impressions travel onward, which is why we arrive with a particular flavour. He traces competition, comparison, complexes, poverty consciousness and the inability to share back to a single root: survival instinct. The remedy is to reorient instinct toward benevolence. Using the story of the baby elephant tied by a thin rope that never tries to break free as an adult, he shows how a single early decision becomes a lifelong limitation. He warns against trying to prove rather than improve, insists on no blind belief (take information, churn it, experience it — as you would cook food before eating it), and asks three questions for contemplation: how deep is your self-belief, what are you consuming through your mind daily, and what are your comfort zones made of. Patterns, he says, come from familiarity, not logic — so stop analysing and reprogram instead. In Q&A he tells the story of the 99 coins to show abundance is an attitude of gratitude, tells Indira that self-acceptance and conviction are the starting point, and tells Pramod that denial only strengthens a habit — complete it with awareness instead, as Nityananda kept his filter coffee. He also answers on Maya and collective consciousness, fear of death and the four life stages, staying true to your path without distancing family, and closes with Guru Purnima details.
